The blade is made from CPM® MagnaCut® steel, offering edge retention, toughness, and near-complete corrosion resistance—ideal for saltwater use. The Ball Bearing Lock™ mechanism ensures smooth, reliable one-handed opening and closing, while the handle features G-10 scales over full skeletonized stainless steel liners, fully optimized with Spyderco’s Caribbean Bi-Directional Texture™ for maximum grip, even when wet. The knife’s hardware, liners, and pocket clip are all ultra-corrosion-resistant and DLC-coated, matching the stealthy black DLC blade finish.
