The Spyderco Military® 2 Salt® takes a legendary hard-use design and re-engineers it with cutting-edge, ultra-corrosion-resistant materials to thrive in the harshest environments on earth. This second-generation upgrade to the original Military™ platform adds Spyderco’s high-strength Compression Lock®, a fully ambidextrous four-position pocket clip, and premium materials built for maritime, tactical, and extreme outdoor conditions.

At the heart of the Military 2 Salt is a full-flat-ground CPM® MagnaCut® blade—a revolutionary particle-metallurgy steel celebrated for its outstanding toughness, long-lasting edge retention, and elite saltwater corrosion resistance. The Black version features a non-reflective DLC-coated blade for low-visibility tactical use, while the Yellow/Black version showcases a satin finish for maximum visibility in and around the water.

The open-backed handle is fitted with G-10 scales machined with Spyderco’s signature Caribbean Bi-Directional Texture™, delivering a secure, non-slip grip in wet, sandy, or gloved conditions. Nested, skeletonized stainless steel liners form the backbone of the Compression Lock® system while maintaining strength and reducing weight. All hardware—including the liners, clip, and fasteners—is made from ultra-corrosion-resistant materials to ensure long-term durability in marine, salt, and humid environments.
